Independent games & software studio

We grow things that last

Oakstone Studio makes games and apps with the patience of an oak and the weight of a stone: they work offline, they respect your time, and they are made to be kept.

Our work

Hay hauling a vegetable sled past Stone and Linen in a sunny field Gnomes tending crop beds around the farmhouse on a summer morning A wooden bridge across the river between the pasture and golden autumn woodland Snow around the animal pasture, cabins and crop beds

Game · Cozy farming

You plan the farm.
The gnomes do the work.

A pixel-art farming game where you lay out fields, paths and workshops, and a village of gnomes plants, waters and harvests through the seasons. Build stations, fill the pantry, raise animals, keep the crows off — then sit back and watch it hum.

Wayboard

Packing lists built
for your trip.

Wayboard reads the trip — destinations, dates, weather, transport, travelers and activities — and builds the list, with documents, visas and tickets pinned on top. At the door, the Final check walks you through what matters, one card at a time.

Project 03

Something's brewing

A third game is taking shape in the workshop. It's warm, it's loud, and it smells a little of fried snacks. More when it's ready.

The studio

Oakstone is a small, independent studio that builds games and software side by side. The same hands that tune a gnome's walk cycle write the sync engine behind a packing list, and the same rules apply to both: make it calm, make it work without a signal, and make it worth keeping.

  1. Offline first

Our things work on a plane, in a field, halfway up a mountain. The network is a bonus, never a requirement.

  2. Respect the person

No ads in your way, no dark patterns, no data we don't need. Gnome Acres collects none at all.

  3. Craft over volume

Few products, finished properly: every state tested, every screen sized for the hand that holds it.

  4. Built to last

Software you keep for years, like a good tool. Your progress and your lists are never lost.

What we make

Games

Hand-made worlds that run on a phone and sing on a PC. Pixel art and low-poly 3D, systems you can lose an afternoon in, and audio tuned by ear.

Software

Apps that keep working when the signal doesn't. Native mobile, a fast web, sync and encryption done properly, in the languages people actually speak.
